Community Portrait is a permanent installation of 2,000 photographic tiles in the lobby of the Adamsville Recreation Center in southwest Atlanta. Nearly 500 photographs were taken of local residents to create a portrait of the Adamsville community. Three large tile murals of historical figures complement the residents' portraits. In addition, decorative color tiles create friezes above the doorways. The work was commissioned by the Atlanta Bureau of Cultural Affairs in 2003.
